Dad's old schoolhouse out on the prairie........45 yrs later!

I hope you all enjoy these photos. They are great memories and with the graduates of 2009 from Maple Creek make it even better memories. This is the one room schoolhouse that my uncle and aunt went to school in till grade 9 then my dad in kindergarten and grade one. Everyday they walked a mile across the creek to school. It is known as the "Moorhead school" since it is on their land and they are our great neighbours at the farm. Years after that it was our "play schoolhouse" at the farm which my siblings as well as all the neighbours loved. If you look close our names are still written on the chalkboard! It is full of good memories even tho the hail storm a few yrs ago destroyed alot of it - a few of the chalkboards fell down, desks were broken and alot more. We will never forget all our good times here as kids. This is also where I had my wedding photos taken 3 yrs ago! I hope all you graduates never forget this happy, adventrous and crazy outing! I had a blast with you all and will certainly not forget it especially after the rusty nail I pulled out of my foot! Hope you all love them as much as I do!

Maple Creek Grad Girls 2009

All the best of luck! I had a great time except we should have ordered pizza before we started. Little did we know almost 5 hrs later when the sun was gone we'd be done! There will be more of your group photos coming - be patient. lol

What - snow in June??!! But snow is still beautiful!

I have kept these for when we get a spring snowstorm to remind you all that even though it SHOULD BE +25 at least snow is still always beautiful! And Ashley and Nikki helped me on one cold cold day in March to show you all! I believe it was -25 and I brought along my grandpa's fur coat to help keep them both warm. It did just that and a few times it was "no it's my turn now";) I also had to do some photos with it. So I hope you all enjoy these and thanks again girls at the end of the day that hot chocolate and coffee was more than welcome!
